Rome High School band performs at the Outback Bowl

Before all you busy bodies and whining parents get all tied up in knots, these trip are not mandatory.

The county bands do not and can not require participation in spring trips, parades, bowl games, etc. Unless you bent out of shape know it all people pony up the money for the kids to go then most likely a few will not go on these trips. If you don't have the money to waste then you don't go.

On some of the spring trips for a certain county band, they may only have less than half of the kids come up with the money in time to book the trip.

When money is short, most folks don't spend on trips like this.

Get over your indignation and move on.
